Redshirt newcomer quarterback Matthew Baldwin’sfrom Ohio Condition has become official.
After taking to twitter to announce hison April 18, the now former Buckeye mentioned Tuesday that his transfer destination could be TCU, per reports by 247Sports.
At that time he joined the transfer portal, Baldwin reported a wish to be nearer to home as his motivation for departing Ohio Condition.
“My family and that i have interceded and spoken a great deal about where I belong and what’s perfect for me,” Baldwin stated within the April 18 twitter announcement. “In the finish, we’d feel it’d get better because of me to step from Ohio Condition.”
TCU is situated in Fort Worth, Texas, a 3-hour drive from Baldwin’s hometown in Austin, Texas.
Baldwin will make an application for immediate eligibility using the Horned Frogs.
Baldwin concludes his Ohio Condition career before you take just one snap. In the 2019 Spring Game he finished 20-for-36 for 246 yards with the air, with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
While sophomore quarterback Justin Fields made an appearance to guide for that beginning job in the position for that Buckeyes, he and Baldwin were considered in open competition by mind coach Ryan Day.
Should he be granted immediate eligibility, he’ll have four seasons open to play at TCU.
